COMMUNITY BUILDING AND SOCIAL COHESION PROGRAM
Empowering Communities, Combating Violence
In the face of widespread violence and social marginalization, this program focuses on creating peaceable and resilient communities. We collaborate closely with local organizations to meet the diverse needs of each community, fostering strength at multiple levels to reduce apathy and hopelessness.

The initiative addresses food insecurity by distributing essential goods and supporting the development of sustainable community food gardens. This provides immediate relief while equipping communities with long-term solutions to hunger.

We also facilitate community dialogues that confront domestic, gender-based, and social violence, offering safe spaces for reflection and resolution. The Peace Centre extends support through referrals to safe houses, counselling services, and support networks, ensuring vulnerable individuals have access to essential care.

During election cycles, we engage in Peace Monitoring Projects, offering voter education, and reducing violence through strategic peace efforts.

Additionally, our Rights and Responsibilities workshops empower individuals by confronting the sense of helplessness, emphasizing their agency in creating peaceful, self-sustaining communities.
